Event Operators can set whatever pay rate they want, but be aware that very low rates have lower pickup rates.
There are two different pay rates available, you can choose to offer work at an hourly rate for a shift, which is common for tournaments, camps or practices. Typical hourly rates vary regionally, but rates below $30-35 per hour tend to have lower pickup rates.
You can also choose to pay a game rate/day rate. This is common for schools that need a game covered, and budget for athletic trainers by the game. It also can be hard to specify the exact end time for games in some sports, so paying by the game instead of the hour can make sense.
